Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 土木工程學系 === 85 === Much and complex data are generated during the construction process. As construction projects become increasingly large and multi-dimensional, conventional manual data management techniques are not efficiently enough to handle the construction information. This deficiency may affect construction quality, costs, duration, and safety of the projects.Based on the characteristics of construction projects and the needs for successful project management, this research aims to establish a standardized operation procedures for automated construction site data management. The automation means using computer hardware and software as the tool for managing the generated construction data. The procedures are formed based on the organization of a typical site office in which construction data or information are recorded and exchanged among various parties inside or outside the office. These procedures are represented by "data flow diagrams" and "flow charts" that can be easily followed by medium or small contractors who have no experience in computerization. This research also concludes some possible obstacles in the computerization process of managing site data, as well as the effective means to overcome such obstacles. In sum, this research provides a guideline and operation procedures for construction contractors when they need automated site data management.
