the environment with fast- changing, hyper- competition,
knowledge- based industries. So to know industry information
well become the necessary tool to strengthen the competition
power. Because most of our enterprises are small & medium
ones, they rely on other information services organization. This
study probes into the demand for business information
services of private firms in Taiwan.This study
focus on the recognition degrees, demand intention,
appraising factors. At intention point, most enterprises have
indirect intention. On information categories, most local
firms prefer supply-demand information and mission
environment. On service items, they have bigger demand on
general needs. On appraising factors, firms prefer information
characteristics, people & services, and organizational
characteristics.On firms'' characteristics, industry categories
and firm''s scale have influences on every factor. The
environment factors have private influences on the actives
seeking for business information services.
