Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 85 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the background, organizations, current status, and results of the "National Commission of Physical Education and Sport" (NCPES) at all levels, with research units of institutions of higher education through documentary analysis and historical description methods. The results indicated that: The development of the Scientific Research of Physical Education and Sport (SRPES) started since the establishment of the Central Physical Education College in 1954 and the Bejin Scientific Research Insititute in 1958. After the Cultural Revolution, the establishment of the China Sports Science Society (CSSS) and other research units aimed to promote the general physical fitness of the people and to achieve distinctions in Asian Games, Olympic Games and other international competitions whereas in 1991 the system stepped into a new era. The network of the SRPES in the Mainland China consisted of the combinations of NCPES, institution of higher education and CSSS to perform cooperatively according to the national policy, but it was found that there were weaknesses during the centralization process. The main emphasis of the SRPES included general cooperation, information exchange, special research, services, equipment and talent identification.
