Permanent magnet brushless motors with higher torque-to inertia and higher efficiency have become popular in the application of servo control system. Since they have no commutator or carbon brush and have merits of DC motors, they can rotate with high speed and require less maintenance. Thus brushless motors are placing DC motors as the drives of automatic control system.
In tradition, the cost of an analog controller is high, so digital controller will replace it. The progress in digital technique makes digital controller almost equal analog ones. In the thesis, we use the method of digital redesign to approximate an analog controller. Experimental results show the performance of the digital redesign controller is close to the analog one.
