The division of unipolar PWM signals is used to trigger the paralleled IGBTs separately. The total power losses is shared by the paralleled IGBTs, and hence the inverter can operate at higher current and switching frequency. Therefore, the developed system can increase system capacity and reduce physical volume. In this thesis, the steady-state equivalent circuit model of high switching frequency inverter with paralleled IGBTs is derived first. Then the response and performance of the designed system are analyzed. Besides, the sunbber, output filter, and total power losses are deduced accurately to serve the specification of the total harmonic distortion of the output current. By way of the controller of Current-Controlled PWM Inverter (CCPI), for saving energy and convenience to test of the system, the self-load band by circulating method is proposed in this thesis. Finally, the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed system have been demonstrated on a 500 watt's prototype.
