In the article, we synthesize polyurethane which is composed of 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6-octafluro-n-octane-1, 8-diol(RfOH) or 1,4-butandiol (BD)、Hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI) and poly(tetramethene oxide)(PTMO). The polymerization is carried out by two-step solution polymerization, with DMAc as solvent at 80℃.
We studied the effect of properties of fluorinated polyurethane by changing the ratio of RfOH/BD in hard segment and the molecular weight of PTMO in soft segment.
The result reveal that the degree of phase separation, crystalline, mechanical properties, heat stability and blood compatibility changes with the ratio of RfOH/BD and molecular weight of PTMO.
Fluorinated polyurethane improve blood compatibility, phase separation, crystaline temperature and crystalline increase as the ratio of RfOH/BD increase.
