Description
Summary:博士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 85 === Because of the physical restrictions, the physically disabled person can not communicate with other people or environmental facilities perfectly. In order to make them communicate more easily, the auxiliary equipments should be developed. Depending on well-designed auxiliary equipments, the disabled persons can not only conquer their handicap but can exploit their talents, creating more job opportunity to raise their life quality. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to develop a useful auxiliary equipment. In this paper, we apply the single-switch communication with Morse code and ultrasonic detection technique to develop a whole system to replace the traditional computer input devices (Mouse and Keyboard), in order to offer a computer unhindered environment for the disabled. To replace the keyboard, we propose the Chinese Morse code and its learning table to learn it quickly, and apply the adaptive signal processing method to recognize the unstable Morse code typed by them. To replace the mouse, we develop two-dimension wireless detection technique of ultrasound, and provide the functional adjustment in response to the different degree of disabilities. From the conducted results of experiments, the system is an effective and useful computer communication auxiliary equipment.
