engine combustion process. Especially for fuels of greater carbon/hydrogen
ratio,
higher viscosity used in diesel engine combustion. Beside carbon /hydro
gen ratio as parameter, this study tries to futher analyze the specie
s and compositions of hydrocarbon compound in these fuels. The influe
nce of different composition of hydrocarbon on heat release process in eng
ine will be analized. The
research method is proceed as follows. The oil was separated into satura
te (SAT) and aromatic (ARO) by liquid column chromatography.The gas is fit
ted out with a capillar column and a flame ionization detector. The compos
ition and molecules of hydrocarbon compound in fuels of greater carbon /hydro
gen ratio are analyzed with standard material of hydrocarbon compound. The cy
linder gas pressure, flame temperature, needle lift, fuel consumption and ai
r flow rate e.t.c. will be measured and recorded under various engine speed
and load with these fuels. After accessing the multi-cycle data of pressu
re, flame temperature and needle lift vias crank angle with the high speed
data acquistion system, the data are analyzed by a microcomputer system
. Condictional sampling will be applied to data measurements. The heat releas
e rate will be calculated by themodynamics model. The influence of hydroc
arbon composition and structure on the diesel combustion phases will be inv
estigated,and the resulting effect on heat release rate also will be.
