Flow control and related investigations to ease TCA approach
control have experienced an urgent demand and utmost importance.
This thesis presents an arrival scheduling approach for TCA
using fuzzy logic theory. This method uses a series of verbal
descriptive rules to determine the arrival flight sequence and
to estimate landing time. A case study to Sung-Shan Airport
(TSA) has been simulated under heavy flow conditions. FDP data
are also applied to estimate flight landing time and possible
delay time to examine the effectiveness of the proposed method.
The results is useful to heavy flow airport of arrival
scheduling to reduce ATC loads.
