Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 企業管理學系 === 85 === This research is based on the concept of strategic group of industry to empiri cally study the existence of different strategy types and the relationship bet ween strategic groups and 3 performances in Taiwan''s healthcare industry.Under the consideration of industry characteristics, strategic variables were develo ped from the strategic dimensions of domain commitment, resources deployment an d competitive advantages. The differences of performance among strategic groups were also compared. Statistics processes of this research includes factor analys is, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and Chi-squar e test.The results of this research are as the follows.1. 6 strategic groups e xist in Taiwan''s healthcare industry. 2. The formation of strategic groups is highly r elated with hospitals'' grades, ownerships, scales, capitals, located area and histories. 3. There are significant differences on such 3 performances as profi t rate, revenue growth rate, and market occupation rate, respectively among t he 6 strategic group.4. This research supports the concept of move barriers an omg strategic groups.
