MRT ? While "Mass Rapid Transit Law" has been revised and
"Statute for Encourage-ment of Private Participation in
Transportation Infrastructure Projects" has been implemented,
it''s time to consider how to establisha new MRT construction
entity to increase the competitive ability ofthe government.
The framework of this thesis is derived from Chandler''s theory.
By considering the environment and the promotive stratigies of
MRTconstruction, the principles of organization theories and the
expe-riences from other existing MRT entities, the thesis
proposes someappropriate organization structures. It''s the
purpose of the thesisthat through the research on various
problems encountered in implementing MRT construction,
recommendations and proposals wouldbe put forth to assist the
formulation of government policies todevelop MRT projects
smoothly.
