Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 獸醫學系 === 85 === SummaryThis research is to study for the changes in hepatic
ultrasonographic echo brightness of hepatic diffusive damages
caused by artificial acute poisoning;and whether there is a
correlation between changes of echo brightness and thedegree of
histopathological damages. In order that we may establish an
ultrasonographic digitization technique of liver disorder for
clinical veterinarian use.Nineteen dogs were divided in two
groups, sixteen in treatment group and three in control group.
Treatment group animals were given three large doses of
acetaminophen within 24 hours. Hepatic ultrasonographic scanning
and blood biochemical examination were performed twelve hours
before and after the treatment . High resolution 7.5MHz linear
probe were used to scan on 4 sections: right 10th inter costal
transverse plane; right and left subcostal oblique plane; caudal
of xyphoideus transverse plane. The ultrsongraphic images were
recorded and print-out on the Mitsubishi video copy processor
machine as well as connected to a 586 personal computer and
stored in the read&writable magneto optical laser disc. So that
we could perform image analysis by Osiris public program from
Netscape in order to compare with the clinical symptoms, the
serological results and the hepatic pathological changes. In the
treatment group, 10 cases died within 72 hours (natural death
cases) and cases endured over the period of time (enduring
cases). There is no difference in echo brightness of control
group and enduring cases(p>0.05), yet a decrease in natural
death cases were observed (p<0.05). A procical curve appeared in
natural death cases when plotting the echo brightness against
time of treatment; yet the curve in enduring cases is declined
first and then risen later. The results of histopathological
examination showed that the hepatic tissue were most damaged in
the cases died in between 61 to 72 hours, the less damaged in
the cases died between 24 to 60 hours, and the least damaged in
cases died within 24 hours of treatment. This phenomenon implies
the recovering of damages. We may try to explain the
relationship with the echo brightness and histopathological
result and give advance in the further research.
