Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 機械工程學系 === 85 === The major goals of this research are to provide the design information of the injection screws used in injection molding machine and optimize the settings of operating conditions that can improve the quality of the injection molded products and the mold filling. A parametric study based on the Taguchi methods accompanied with orthogonal arry is applied to search the effective design parameters of injection screw that attecting signficantly on the temperature distribution during plasticating process and melt material flow length in the molds . the above mentioned temperature distribution and melt flow length are used to identify the quality of injection molding products in the preset study. A number of experiments were conducted on a model injection molding machine by using two kinds of polymer materials , ABS (Acrylonitride Butadiene Stynene Copolymer) and PP (PolyPropylene). It was found that the main parameters that affecting the flow length in the mold of a given plastic material are the barrel temperatures and the injection pressures . In addition , it is found that , for the ABS material , the uniformity of temperature distribution during injecting process is controlled effectively by the parameters with the order of setting of barrel temperature , thread depth of screw , and turning speed of screw. On the other hand , for the PP material , the uniformity of temperature distribution is controlled by the parameters with significance the order of thread depth of screw , turning speed of screw , and setting of barrel temperature .
