Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系 === 85 === In this paper, a numerical simulation model involving wave, current and beach evolution simulation is used to simulate the shoreline changes between two headlands. Various arrangements including directions, lengths, offshore distances and apart distances of headlands are calculated to explore the optimum headland control in the coastal defense. The wave condition and the bottom slope of Mir-Tuor Coast in the west-southern Taiwan are used in the simulation. The results from this elementary study show that the salient type behind headlands may be formed in the simulation area due to the smaller wave energy and too mild bottom slope. It may be inferred the better arrangement of headlands from the study and specified as followings. (I) The direction of headland parallel to the wave crest line is favorable. (II) The headland is suggested to locate just at the outside of surf zone and the apart distance be greater than the offshore distance of headlands. (III)The suitable length of headland will make better types of salient, too short headland is not favorable.(VI)To form a tombolo behind headland, artificial renourishment may be considered.
