Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 土地管理研究所 === 85 === Abstract Lots of land are necessary for the development of golf
course. Since two thirds of the total land in Taiwan belongs to
the type of slope land, therefore most of the golf course
development was on the slope land. The impact resulted from the
development of golf course on environment is a serious and
complex problem, so the impact is worth being studied. The study
is to take the advantage of Remote Sensing and Geographic
Information Systems data bases, monitor landuse and analyze
relational factors such as terrain, soil, geology, etc.. In
order to realize the change of soil loss during different period
of development, used the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (
RUSLE) to estimate the amount of soil lost. The development
of Chun-Kual golf course, located at Miaoli county, in central
Taiwan, chose as a case study. In order to knowing the change
of area in land cover and soil erosion loss, the 1992, 1993 and
1995 SPOT satellite images were used as the resource
information. After information is extracted and classified, it
used to estimate the changes of soil amount different periods.
It expected that the result demonstrates reliability and
precision information. The result indicated that the soil
erosion is 520 tons per hectare per year during the development
period. After the development finished, the soil erosion is
16.8 ton per hectare per year. For the original forest land,
the amount of soil erosion is 1.67 tons per hectare per year. In
comparison with the soil erosion from different period, it shows
that golf course development will cause a lot of soil erosion
over 100 times than the amount of original forest. Therefore,
the developments of golf course on slope land cause a
significant and serious problem. The impacts on the environment
required to paid much attention.
