Although there is an exotic dynamic gear inspection system available-Single flank test, it is high in price and high demands in user with expertise. So we proposed a brand new method to overcome the difficulties. The proposed measuring method is based on simulation analysis and tolerance factors, theoretically. We utilized a 3-D measurement instrument together with the regression technique to obtain the profile function of a gear. Then we simulate the dynamic gearing performances on the basis of the obtained profile function for gear element error and system transmission error analysis.
