Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學學系 === 85 === Metallocene catalysts are high efficient catalysts developed in the recent years. These catalysts have the following unique properties: (1) High activity for polymerization. (2) A single and homogeneous. (3) Applicable to awide variety of monomers comonomers polymerization. Otherwise, we can produce stereoregular and bimodel polyolefins throuogh a proper selection of catalyst system. This thesis will divide into two parts to investigate this new catalyst: Firstly, we investigate the kinetic behavior of the ethylene polymerization by Cp2ZrCl2/MAO and CpTpZrCl2/MAO metallocene catalysts. The latter catalyst was synthesized by Union Chemical Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute. The kinetics in different conditions are studied. From the kinetic data, hopely we can obtain the optimal condition for scale-up process. Secondly, the functional polyethylene can be directly synthesized by copolymerization of ethylene and 5-norbornene-2-methanol (NBM). The homogeneous catalytic system of Et(Ind)2ZrCl2/MAO was used. And then the functional polyethylene can be utilized for the grafting with ε- caprolactone. Polyethylene-graft-polycaprolactone which was effective compatibilizer for polyethylene blend with engineering plastics, such as polyvinylchloride (PVC) and polycarbonate (PC).
