It will reasonably relax the restriction of land use from changing the agricultural land use.2.To establish the geography information system via land use survey. It is the basis of environmental zoning .3.According to the global trend of the environmental protection， it is necessary to revise the patterns of land use and zoning . Also considering the concept of ecological capacity ，this study proposes environmental indicators from the items of the environment impact .4.Research Purpose :（1）To make a thorough inquiry about the environment information patterns of the development permit in urban area .（2）To choose the environmental indicators and propose spacial suitability factors according to the existed urban activities and land use surveying data . This is the basis of drafting environmental zoning and making development restriction .5.Research Scope : This study uses HsinChu urban planning area as a case study .6.Methodology and Content :（1）To use the laws and the related references about urban sustainable development to find out the environmental indicators .（2）To survey the urban activities and the land use patterns .（3）To analysis the land use suitability of the natural environment and urban environment .（4）This study uses the concept of urban sustainable development to establish environmental indicators . Also it uses multivariate analysis to classify urban space according to the environment suitability finally ，it uses GIS to show the spacial dictribution .7.Predicted result :（1）To propose the location indicators of urban land use and development .（2）To propose the environmental zoning of the urban space and related activities . And to provide a direction of analysis model of urban study .8.The result of case study :（1）According to the multivaricate analysis，the result is consistent with urban existed situation .（2）This study proposes environmental zoning on the basis of the differences of environment patterns .It is a helpful reference for public and private to made decision and investigation . Finally，it will reduce the environmental impact .
