internationalization of theindustry, by effectively use human
resource or experience learning, Taiwan'sarchitecture industry
has gained adequate experiences in area or internationalgroup
cooperation. However, during the execution process, other than
the face-to-face method, traditional cooperation method often
cause the delay ofcommunication or decision making due to the
distant process, and it results inwaste of time and
inefficiency.The purpose of this study is to help construction
industry making inter-organizational collaborative design. By
providing effective communicationtools and cooperation flow in
order to assist the process of the design case.Moreover, using
database management system to resolve the conflicts
betweendifferent versions of the same blueprints. This study
will survey currentavailable software, using Internet as
communication medium, provide aprototype of interorganizational
information system for online cooperation ofarchitecture design.
A trial use of the system's prototype was conducted by a group
ofpotential users. The results have shown that all the users
feel positively aboutthe system. This may indicate an evidence
of the system achieving its goals:helping architecture industry
to solve the problem of cooperative design andimproving the
design quality and effectiveness.
