It is to study an alterna-tive nitrogen-based atmosphere with 6-8% of hydrogen and water additionfor this purpose. And the results showed that the thermal emissivity of the cold rolled carbon steel sheet could be increased from 0.3 to higherthan 0.8 with single phase of magnetite without apparent degradation of formability at the temperature of 500'C with H2O/H2=0.3-0.6 for 1-2 hr.
