Description
Summary:碩士 === 台北醫學院 === 牙醫學類 === 84 === Joint surface contour, repair material and weathering agent solution will all effect the transverse strength of the repaired denture base. In this study, Luciton 199 ( Dentsply, USA ) was used as the denture base substrate with diff-erent repair-joint designs (butt, round, and 45 degree bevel ). Specimens of denture base acrylic resins were repaired with autopolymerized ( Repair Materi-al, Dentsply USA ) and visible light-cured ( Triad, Dentsply, USA ) repair mat-erials. Repaired specimens were soaked in 99.5 % ethanol ( as a weathering agentsolution ) at 37'C for different time periods, their transverse strengths were then measured by a three - point bending test with a universal testing machine. ( AGS-1000D, SHIMADZU, JAPAN, cross- head speed : 5mm / min ) Instead of beingsoaked in 99.5 % ethanol, the control group was in distilled water. Scanningelectron microscope ( SEM ) and optical microscope were used to examine the fra-cture patterns and surfaces
