This paper tries to understand how the cmputer hardware industry follows internal factor( firm and product factor) and external factor(export market and market environmental factor) to choice the appropriate direct export channel type. To find whether it is difference between the direct export channel type and export performance. At the same time to discuss it is difference between the soft-hardware alliance and export performance. The direct export channel types can classify three types: foreign branch/ subsidiary channel、foreign agency and foreign distributor.In the study, the sample data must ensure that (1) the major product can match software to sale and (2) the major product choices the direct export channel type to sale in the particular export market. This data is analyzes by questionnaire process and nonparametric statistics. The result of this study shows that the choice of direct export channel type is influenced by firm factor (firm''s scale、firm''s experience with export 、percentage of export''s value of total sale''s value)、 product factor ( product''s technical complexity、and experience with product) and export market factor ( cultural/legal of export markets and adaptation of independent merchant). There is not difference between direct export channel types and the export performance. The export performance of manufacturers with soft- hardware alliance at present is better than others that neverr ohad been soft-hardware alliance.
