Also the concept of reverse engineering is used to get the feature of objects. By way of this method, we hope to have benefits in all the other skills which show relations to reverse engineering. First, to get a standard shoe last as a sample, we make use of a C.M.M. (Coordinate Measuring Machine ) to measure the feature points in 3-D and compose a CAD model by digitization.Using this CAD model and referring to the foot''s structure and active state, we consider the ergonomics, comfort and aesthetics and define every part of the features in relationship to the CAD model, including the central line length of the shoe last bottom, toe spring, heel elevation, head styles and ball girth, etc. We take advantage of the feature parameters to define each feature'' s variables and constraint conditions, under the control of a mathematical theory program language and through the display of computer graphics.
