In Taiwan, most of the computer aided design programs applied in the area of power distribution system design are only working on graph, such as AutoCAD and Micro- station, or on text. Only a few expensive imported packages such as EDSA can work with both graph and text in a time. Nowadays, the competitive execution speed and data processing ability of some personal computer (PC) enable PC suitably to work with the graphic symbol and text data simultaneously. Therefore, a PC oriented interactive and graphical simulation program capable of single-line diagram drawing, graphic and text data transferring, system analysis and calculation are developed for aiding the design and analysis of a power distribution system in this thesis. This program is developed on the PC under the environment of the latest developed operating system, Microsoft Windows 95.
