In Taiwan, most of the computer aided design programs applied in the area of power distribution system design are only working on graph, such as AutoCAD and Micro- station, or on text. Only a few expensive imported packages such as EDSA can work with both graph and text in a time. Nowadays, the competitive execution speed and data processing ability of some personal computer (PC) enable PC suitably to work with the graphic symbol and text data simultaneously. Therefore, a PC oriented interactive and graphical simulation program capable of single-line diagram drawing, graphic and text data transferring, system analysis and calculation are developed for aiding the design and analysis of a power distribution system in this thesis. This program is developed on the PC under the environment of the latest developed operating system, Microsoft Windows 95. This program enable to improve the design and planning efficiency is expected.
