Necessary and sufficient conditions for the systems to be impulse free and all the poles of the system are within the specified region are obtained. The approach is based on the generalized regularity property . Furthermore, the regional pole assignment problem of linear, time-invariant singular systems is discussed. The performance index to be minimized consists of two parts. One is used to avoid any of the poles of the closed-loop system approaching to the boundary of the desired region, and the other is used to minimize the two norm of the closed-loop transfer function matrix. The desired region considered in this paper can be the intersection of some quadratic curves. A special case of the desired region formed by the intersection of the line segments and the disks is also presented for illustration. Lee Tsu Tian 李祖添 1996 學位論文 ; thesis 55 en_US
