The first part of the experiments studies on the effect of fuel additives on spark -timing characte -ristics of the injection-types engines. The second part of the experiments studies on the effect of the LP-Gas fuel on the carbureted-types engines performance and emissions and its spark-timing characteristics. It was found that significant improvements in air pollution emission and considerable loss in power occured with LP-Gas compared to gasoline at virtually all operating condition. With the spark-timing advance, the HC and NOx emission of both fuel increase obviously, but the CO emmision of LP-Gas merely increase slightly.
