In this paper, the vortex was generated in a circular pipe by injecting water tangentially through two diametrically opposed feeder tubes at the outside edge of the tube. Flow- visualizations and LDA-measurements were used to experimentally investigated the flow. Results from Numerical calculations by a commercial package Flow3D were used to help understanding the detailed structure and flow mechanisms of the three-dimentional complex flow.
