Different from western medicine, its special viewpoint is to take the livings as an inseperatable wholesomeness. Researches related to it around the world are increasing day by day, since its successful application in surgery under acupuncture and the curing of pain. For example, Dr. Reinhold Voll in German developed its well-known electric acupuncture, EAV(Electric Acupuncture by Voll), first in 1970s. However, the mechanism of the meridian and acupuncture point to us is still somehow not clear. And the exploration to it by the modern medicine and science is also limited, which definitely influences the development of the clinical. This becomes one of the barriers to the mutual communication between the east and the western medicine. To improve this limitation, we have a trial study in this field, especially the electrical properties around acupuncture points. After a survey on the existing researches and considering the instruments we have, we decide to use the method of measuring the electric potentials-rather than the traditional measurement of impedance, to study its electricity behavior. With the knowledge of the electromagnetic field and the inverse problem solution, we have done the preliminary measurement on the conductive properties of the tissues around some acupuncture points. The result shows the correspondence of high-conductivity points with traditional acupuncture points and the conductivity contrast of acupuncture points to other points in vivo is three to four times that in vitro. To its limitations taken by its methodology, we hope to complete its theory, enhance measuring instruments and materials, to have a better view on the electrical properties of the acupuncture point. A deep understanding into the traditional Chinese medicine then might be cleared in the future. Chen Jyh Horng 陳志宏 1996 學位論文 ; thesis 60 zh-TW
