communication has recently got most of the attention. For the
use of personal wireless data communication, this study
proposed two types of printed dipole antennas, one of which is
together with the planar-type balun design. We also adopt the
space domain analysis to investigate the properties of these
antennas. This analysis is based on the mixed potential
integral equation formulation and the method of moments. It is
suitable for the radiation or scattering problems due to the
arbitrarily shaped antenna on a layered substrate. Finally,
numerical results are included for both theoretical analysis
and experimental measurement, and some discussion is given.
