Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 84 === Today''s businesses face a "3-C" environment --- Customers,
Competition and Change. In such an environment, a corporation
needs to constantly redesign and renew its whole business
process to remain competitive. As Michael Hammer states in his
book, Reengineering the Corporation, businesses should "start
over." In this study, we summarize the critical success factors(
CSF) business process reengineering(BPR) determined from
previous research and develop a model to implementing BPR in
the case company. We believe that the results of our study will
provide a reference for other companies adopting BPR in the
future. Five aspects of this business are evaluated: business
strategy, core processes, information technology,
organizational structure and human resources. We apply an
action research approach to reengineering the business
processes of a chain laundry store with centralized washing.
BPR should be an on-going process. The members of a
reengineering team must constantly seek our and solve problems
in order to maintain a growing "learning organization". This is
the spirit of reengineering.
