business activities on coporation operation performance of
information industry in Taiwan. The subject of this research is
to discuss relations among market structure, business
activities and operation performance of information industry in
Taiwan. There are three objects in this thesis:(1) Find these
market structure variations and business activties to influence
coporation operation performance. (2) Built a model to describe
causality amount information industry market structure,
business activities and business performance. (3) Help business
operator to understand the factors influenced operation
performance, to improve the management skills. This research
pick 39 companies as sample. Research period is from 1992 to
1994. Use multiple stepwise regression analysis to verify
industrial concentration, export ratio, market share, firm
size, company growth , research and development, capital
intensity, debt ratio, inventory turnover rate and account
receiable turnover rate would influence operation performance
conspicuously. In this emperical study. We get 3 results as
following: (1)The evidence presented here show that market
share, company growth rate and account receiable turnover rate
have significant positive effect on operation performance , and
that debt ratio has significant negative effect on operation
performance. (2)In correlation analysis, company size has
positive correlationship with R&D expense. It shows that the
company size is larger, the more R&D expense they would pay and
the more risk they would take. (3)Debt 、ratio and account
receiable turnover rate are major factors that influenced
operation performance. It shows company capital usage
efficiency would influence operation performance obviously.
