Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 動力機械學系 === 84 === Based on the finite element model developed by Chen and Yeh(1990) for three-dimensional contact mechanics analysis, the contact stress analysis for three kinds of cam systems--- conjugate cams with oscillating roller follower, parallel indexing cam and disk cam with translating flat-faced follower---is performed. The effect of inertia resulting from accelerating follower is simulated by equivalents divided into consistent nodal loads that are exerted on the follower. The contact stresses for the conjugate cam and parallel indexing cam systems are discussed and the maximum shear stresses for the cam with flat-faced follower in different rotating speeds are investigated. The calculated stresses obtained from the analysis are compared with available experimental data or Hertz contact solution. Then the flexibility errors for the cam with flat-faced follower are evaluated.
