conveniently used to determine strong deformation of the solid-
liquid interface. Applying Mullins and Sekerka's mo-
phological criterion whose temperature and concentration
gradients , wavelength, and normal velocity along the inter-
face at any instant time are obtained from conservation
equation provides a clear understanding of the primary and
second dendrites during solidfication
