Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 84 === Many potential benefits related to an integration of the
various corporate information systems in a utility have been
recognized. Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA)
systems in the electric power industry have been generalized to
the entire operations, from power generation to distribution
and then to the customer sites. Automated Mapping / Facilities
Management (AM/FM) systems focus on the electric distribution
network, and they support functions of distribution system
automation, such as operations, planning and maintenances. In
this paper, a discrete time simulation method is used to
conduct the performance analysis of a simple SCADA-AM/FM
integration. Distributed architecture of AM/FM and SCADA
systems are simulated by using an on the shelf simulation
package. The changes in the response times of many important
SCADA functions due to the integration are reported. Test
results have shown that by choosing the open architectures, the
integration of AM/FM and SCADA systems is fairly easy, and a
very small sacrifice of the response time is well spent for
achieving improvements in the performance of real-time
distribution operations.
