The former derived from classical realism, being refined by borrowing some essential ideas from sociology and economics, holding the views that the structure is the unchanged grammar in this changing world, so the very first thing we need to do is find out the structural factors. It also implies that the power distributions among nations is the only rule in deciding world politics. However, neoliberalism, named by Joseph Nye, reflects that the logic of neorealism is far from enough to meet the need in explaining the post-cold war international society ,which has been turning into a complex interdependent one. Under this circumstances, states are unchained from the constrains of global power structure, and we are supposed to pay more attention to the process of states interactions. As far as I am concerned, both of conflict and cooperation are often-seen in human life, so it would be absurd enough to take one of them for granted, and overlook another.Besides, from the methodological perspective, structure and process of interaction are exactly a system is made of, dual-approach using could give events more fulfilling explanations. Obviously, a work of combination(neorealism& neoliberalism) is necessary, and it is my major purpose in this thesis. After going through the post-behaviorism in 70s, it could have be easier than before to do the combination work for both of approaches sharing the same basic conceptions, like anarchy, self-interest, and state-actor as well.
