In the binary structure, we add a horizontal link to increase network reliability and users availability. For the horizontal link, we consider the server duplication and cache installation. Because interactive television has high requirements on delay, tolerance, synchronization, network bandwidth, and server access speed, when we consider the approach to enhance availability, we need to think about these requirements.   With the advent multimedia era and increasing demand for real-time communication, the need for broadband network increases drastically. In order to provide highly inter-active information flow, the network bandwidth and server bandwidth for retrieval must be increased. Considering today's network technology of limited bandwidth and the demand for higher bandwidth for military application's reliability, the demand for network bandwidth can get even higher. In this paper, we consider a balanced binary tree communication structure and investigate the cost and reliability of such structure in order to make a choice between various strategies. At the same time, reliability of interactive television depends on the implementation of network technology and research of interactive television. We hope that the research on interactive television can help to clarify the direction of future research on related problem.
