Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 地球物理學系 === 84 === Direct current resistivity soundings were carried out in the coastal plain between Peikangchi and Tsengwenchi, southwestern Taiwan, Incorporating of the sounding data with the geological well information and pumping test results was used to discuss the features of the electrostratigraphic unit and paleo- depositional environment. The sounding data were also used to map the aquifers and evaluate the transmissivity at the sounding points without well information. Based on the final results of this research, some conclusions are drawn as following : 1. The distribution of the electrostratigraphic units indicate that the major sedimentary materials in Chiayi and Tainan county are different; the former is dominated by sandy deposits and the later by muddy deposits. Therefore, the potential of aquifer in the north part of the survey area is better than that in the south part. 2. Depositional environment in coastal plain was affected greatly by the past transgression and regression. In general, the residual salinity is still remained in the subsurface along the southwest of Chianan coastal plain. 3.The original course of Tsengwenchi flowed toward Chiali, it was located to the north of the present location of Tsengwenchi. This buried channel were recognized by the high resistivity zone shown in the vertical sections. 4.The depths of main aquifer in the study area were ranging from 50 to 80 meters except those in the Dalin county. The depth is increased toward southwest. 5.Correlation was made between hydrogeological and electrical parameters, empirical relation between two parameters was then established, the transmissivity at each sounding location without well information can thus be figure out from this relation.
