Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 化學工程學系 === 84 === The goal of this endeavor is to enhance epoxy resins toughness withinorganic fillers and core-shell rubber(CSR). Submicron inorganic fillers withvarious particle size of magnium hydroxide, magnium oxide and aluminum areutilized. The toughness enhancement is discussed. It was demonstrated that the higher the amount of methylacrylic(MAA) group on the CSR shell, the better the dispersion of the CSR in cured epoxyand the better the toughness enhancement. Furthermore, for epoxy resins with core-shell rubber at 7.5phr,addition of a limited amount of inorganic fillers(<3vol%) was found to greatly enhance their toughness. This is demonstratedthrough a crack deflection mechanism. Furthermore, the effect of the filler contents and particle size on the toughness enhancement, tensile strength and Young's modulus of the epoxyresins are discuessed. The effect of inorganic filler on toughness enhancementis also observed in unsaturated polyester(UP) system.
