Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 84 === The main purpose of this study was to realize the situation of sports facilities of Kaohsiung elementarty schools and to compare the differences among schools with different scales and locations. The results can be offered as references of Kaohsiung Education Department and elementary schools when building up sports fields or purchasing sports facilities.
In this research, all 76 elementary schools in Kaohsiung were investigated with a self-made "Questionnaire on Kaohsiung elementary schools'' sports fields and facilities" which were made base on the real situations of Kaohsiung elementary schools, experts'' theories and criterions of elementary schools'' facilities.
The results are as followings:
1.The situations of Kaohsiung elementary schools
(1)Outdoor sports fields are more than indoor. The majority of outdoor sports fields are playing grounds. As for the area, athletic field is biggest. The majority of indoor sports fields are tennis rooms. As for the area, indoor athletic field is biggest. High quality gymnasiums and swimming pools are lacking seriously.
(2)Although the rates of sports fields are within standard, every student share only 5.01 meter square.
2.Comparisons of schools of different patterns
(1)Big schools have more quantity of sports fields than small schools and also the rate of indoor or outdoor sports fields.
(2)As for the area of sports fields, big schools are bigger than small schools. However, the area which every student share, small schools are bigger than big schools.
(3)The majority of materials of ground of sports fields are both cement.
3.Comparisons of schools at different cocation
(1)Urban schools have more quantity of sports fields than suburb schools and also the rate of indoor or outdoor sports fields.
(2)As for the area of sports fields, urban schools are bigger than suburb schools. However, the area which every student share, suburb schools are bigger than urban schools.
(3)The majority of materials of ground of sports fields are both cement.
4.The situations of schools'' sports facilities
(1)In gymnastic facilities, cushions, jumping boxes and balance bars are items with higher qualified rates. Rods and bamboos are lower. As for the qualitied rates among different parrern schools, schools consisted of 13-24 classes are highest and 25-36 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and 37-48 classes the lowest.
(2)In track and field facilities, starting guns, high jump sets and relay sticks are items with higher qualified rates. Lot boxes, wooden rulers are lower. As for the qualified rates among different pattern schools, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and more than 49 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and 13-24 classes the lowest.
(3)In ball games'' facilities, dodge balls, juvenile basketballs and basketball sets are items with higher qualified rates. Basketball scoring board, softball gloves and small soccer goals are lower. As for the qualified rates among different pattern schools, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and more than 49 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of 13-24 classes are highest and less than 6 classes the lowest.
(4)In dancing facilities, VCRs, drums and organs are items with higher qualified rate. Harmonicas and Kara oks are lower. As for the qualified rates among different pattern schools, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and more than 49 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of more than 49 classes are highest and less than 6 classes the lowest.
(5)In playing facilities, slideways, climbing sets and swings are items with higher qualified rate. Vertical jumping sets and tires playing fields are lower. As for the qualified rates among different pattern schools, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and 37-48 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of 37-48 classes are highest and less than 6 classes the lowest.
(6)In other facilities, stop watches, ropes of the tug of war and air pumps are items with higher qualified rates. Sign flags and colorful ropes are lower. As for the qualified rates among different pattern schools, schools consisted of 13-24 classes are highest and 25-36 classes lowest. As for the rates of schools without such facilities, schools consisted of less than 6 classes are highest and more than 49 classes the lowest.
