diffusivity of a one-dimensional homogeneous conductive medium.
The Monte Carlo procedure consists of a fixed-step-direction
and fixed-step-size random walk with the importance sampling
technique. Psudo random number and quasi random number sequence
are both employed in the random walks. The main advantage of
the present method is that only one-single simulation of Monte
Carlo is required to obtain the expression of the measured
interior temperature in terms of the unknown thermal
diffusivity. Two numerical examples and discussion of the
influnces of different errors are involved in this work.
Reducing the influnce of errors improves the result.
