A new method, i.e., eigenvalue sensitivity analysis, is proposed to find the minimum value of self-excited capacitance. The proposed method is superior to the conventional scheme which is time consuming in solving simultaneous nonlinear equations. This thesis also introduces a new self-regulated voltage compensation method for compensating terminal voltage variation, hence the self-excited induction generator can be operated under wider loading conditions. Finally, experimental results obtained from a 1.1 kW induction machine confirm the feasibility and validity of the theoretical results. Li Wang 王 醴 1996 學位論文 ; thesis 97 en_US
