Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 航空太空工程學系 === 84 === Characterizing small particles is an important subject in many engineering fields, especially in combustion fuel spray smoke formation researchs .The most common measurement is particle-sizing. Although various optical techniques for particle sizing , such as laser scattering, LDA gating and Fraunhofer diffraction technique , have developed ,no single technique has been found capable of sa- tisfactory measurement which occures in practical application.They a usually time- consuming and need to propose many assumptions about the particles itself.Morever,it seems to be difficult to realize real-time diagnostics by using these techniques Therefore , there is still intense interest in searching for more reliable and effective techniq- ues with acceptable quality. Due to introduced of the new filter (Size-vari able computer generated filter) , the convenient 4F Fourier optical system having single configura- tion easier operation ability can be used.The measuring results by using this new matched filter were compared with the data obtained by using previous filter.The Size-variable computer generat ed filter combined with 4F system was shown to have better discrimination and measurement accura- cy.
