Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 水利及海洋工程學系 === 84 === ABSTRACT The geometric similarity and development of debris-fan werestudied by laboratory experiments. Fifty-two runs with non-uniformsediment materials were performed in these experimental studys. Experimental results showed that once the debris flow entered a wide basin,it would spread out, deposit quickly, and form a debris fan. Three topographic scales, the length (Lc), width (Bm), and depth (Zo) of the debris fan were used as characteristic parameters to analyze the similarity of the debris-fan. The results of analysis showed that the debris fan in a stable stage could be described by Gaussian function in both ofthe lonitudinal and the cross section with distributive coefficients CL and CT respectivly. The plain shape of the debris-fan was also found to have the similarity which was able to be described by a circular. According to the results of the similarity analysis, the volume of a debris-fan could be derived as V=K(Lc)(Bm)(Zo), where K is a coefficient. Finally, the toporaphic scales, the length (Lc), width (Bm) and depth (Zo) werealso studied and discussed.
