Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 應用數學系 === 84 === This thesis studies the R-unloader queueing system with N trailers under steady-state conditions. One unloader can serve only one trailer at a time based on the order of their arrivals. Trip times and unloading times of the trailers and finishing times of the unloaders are assumed to follow a negative exponential distributions. A cost model is developed to determine the optimal values of the number of trailers so as to minimize the cost function. Under the optimal operating conditions, numerical results of several system performance measures are presented.
