Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 園藝學系 === 84 === In order to investigated the growth of tissue culture plants in passionfruit ''Tainong No.1'' (P. edulis Sims ×P. edulis F. flavicarpa Deg.), own-rooted tissue culture plants, tissue culture scions grafted on the seedling stock of P. edulis f. foavicarpa Deg. and common scions grafted on the same stock were used as material in this study. Potted passionfruit plants were grown in field of the Viticulture Research Station, NCHU in autumn of 1994, and their growth was investigated as well as the virus infection was traced. It was found that whether the diameter and length of the main branch, number of branches, number of nodes, fresh weight and length of branches, total area and weight of leaves, number of flowers and fruits, root system and yield of tissue culture own-rooted and tissue culture grafting plants common- scioned plants. The tissue culture owned-root plants had the highest products and their fresh weight of branches and leaves was two times more than commom-scioned plants. Nevertheless the yield of per plant in tissue culture grafting plants was 1.5 times more than the tissue culture own-rooted plants and two times more than common- scioned plants. However the fruit sizes and quality of the three tested plants did not show difference. By observing the sections of leaf, stem and root via microscope, it was shown that the array of cells was in good order and tight. Additionally, the PWV and PaMV virus were traced and determined, the results showed that the virus infection percent of tissue culture own-rooted plants was the lowest and the infected time was the shortest, while the infection percent of common scioned plants was the highest and the infected time was the longest.
