Four forest types are virgin hardwood forest stand (L1) , art ificial plantation (L2), secondary hardwood forest (L3、L4、L5) and the burned stand (L6) . Insect fauna of understory which collected by yellow sticky pape rs , moth traps ,gall-induced plants and environmental factors (temperature, light intensity and relative humidity) were investigated. Totally, 369 taxa of insects belonging to 17 orders 92 families were collected by yellow sticky papers; 2 families 5 genera and 12 taxa of macrohymenoptera were collected b y moth traps. 45 different morphological types of insect-induced galls were fo und at gall-induced plants belong to 16 families and 27 species. The variou s investigated data and index system data among the six plots were analyzed by using the program NTSYS-PC. The L1 and L4 plots were clustered together by t he similar data of the whole insect fauna. The same clustering pattern present while the data of each group of insects i.e., Diptera, Coleoptera and large H ymeptera were applied. As well, the two plots clustered as a similar group on both data sets of the microenvironmental factors within plots and the vegetati on. The result of the index system including diversity index of Simpson and Sh annon, eveness index, and amount of individuals and species also made the L1 a nd L4 clustered together as a similar group. The result shown that the similar habitats might have the same insect fauna and the insect diversity indices. The result of gall-induced plants constitution did not corresponding to t he whole insect fauna et al.among different plots , but the galls on the same gall-induced plants like the different developemental patterns in Syziginm bux ifolium and the special distribution types in Machilus thunbergii are probably affected by the altitute ,and might have different patterns of growth and dis tribution. On the other hand, we also focus on the family of gall-induced plan ts, position of gall induced and the classification based on internal histolog y and external morphology of galls. That we can select the bioindicators i.e., the insects of Diptera, Coleoptera, Vespa manfarinia, Vespula sp.1 and Vespul a sp.2 of paper wasps, and insect-induced galls of Syziginm buxifolium and Mac hilus thunbergii in the study to monitor the long-term environmental changes o f the ecosystem.
