Moreover, interviewers themselves have also had a great impact on the reliability of a diagnosis. The purpose of this patper is to assess the validity and use of a Chinese computerizedassessment (PROQSY-CM), developed based on the Chinese Clinical InterviewSchedule (CIS).Eighty seven subjects participated in this study. All subjets were asked to complete PROQSY-CM and an interview by a psychiatrist. Among them, 46 patietswere admitted for general physical examination; while the other 41 werepatients who were diagnosed as suffering form minor psychiatric disorder at their first visit to the psychiatric outpatient department in a mendical center. They were all ruled out as suffering from organic mental disorders or problems of substandce abuse. The results showed that there were no sex differences between these 87 individuals. Their average age was 45.23 years old, and the educational levelwas 9.54 years. Individual symptoms elicited by the computer and the CIS were compared, with highest level of agreement being "sleep disturbance", while the lowest level of agreement was "excessive bodily concern".Most patients responded that the PROQSY-CM was easy to operate, and they didn'tfeel nervous or afraid while doing the above computerized assessment. Most patients reported that the PROQSY-CM could delineate their complains and clearly reflected their current situation. Besides, they felt that answers in the computerized questionnaire were reliable. It is concluded that this computerized assessment of neurotic symptoms is at least as valid and reliable as standardized interviews. The PROQSY-CM could be recommended as a research tool, providing an alternative measurement of minor psychiatric morbidity in the general practice. Mian-yoon Chong 張明永 1996 學位論文 ; thesis 72 zh-TW
