| Summary: | 碩士 === 高雄醫學院 === 公共衛生學研究所 === 84 === Abstract We have faced a great problem of the serious polluted
environment at thepresent time. Especially the streams that are
the main source of purified water, have been polluted by
domestic sewage, industrial effluent and pastured sewer, under
the sewer system has not generally diffused just only 3.56% in
the country. Therefore both the treatment load and cost in
purifying water have increased. In order to offer wholesome
drinking water and to reestablish self-confidence of people for
tap water, the purpose of this study thatwe hope to seek for a
solution to their problem of drinking water and presell the
notion of environmental protection. This study chosen 178
families using tap water with random sampling from five regions
of Kaohsiung City. Then， we screened 96 families living
thereover five years to be the effective samples. Through
questionnaire and experiment ,the results showed that 64.6%
people selected selling water(includes distilled water 、R.O.
water or minerals) to drink, and 52.7% people were using water
purifying device. Especially, 21.5% people answered that they
didn''t know how to frugally use water. About water quality,
wefound that selling water is not better than tap water. But
only 33.3% peoplechosen tap water as their main drinking water.
According to above description,we know that tap water makes a
bad impression on citizens for a long time.Keyword：tap water，
