:7-methyl-N-benzyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]quinolin-3,4-
dione(28),7-ethyl-N-benzyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydrofuro[2,3-
b]quinolin-3,4-dione(29),7-ethoxy-N-benzyl-2,3,4,9-
tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]quinolin-3,4-dione(30) and 7-ethyl-N-2'-
pyridyl-methyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]quinolin-3,4-
dione(40) were the most promisingagents with positive inotropic
activity.
